Step 4: Add a Customer

customer is an end-user, the actual owner of one or more accounts at supported financial institutions.

From the Test Drive plan you will call Add Testing Customer to add customers. Once you have upgraded to a paid plan you can access real-world accounts by calling Add Customer. (See Customers for a more detailed explanation.)

To call Add Testing Customer, send this request:


...with HTTP headers:

Finicity-App-Key: {from Developer Portal}
Finicity-App-Token: {from previous call to Partner Authentication}
Content-Type: application/xml

...and body:


The response will contain the customer ID to be used for subsequent calls about this customer, and a timestamp showing when the customer was added.
